Former BCB president Kamal Ziaul Islam passes away at age of 86 By ANI|   Posted by Mansoor  |   Published: 4th May 2021 6:59 am IST Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dhaka: Former Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Kamal Ziaul Islam passed away on Monday, he was 86. “The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expresses deep bereavement at the passing away of former President of the Board Kamal Ziaul Islam who breathed his last in Dhaka today (Monday, 03 May),” BCB said in an official statement. According to BCB, Kamal Ziaul Islam, popularly known as K Z Islam, served as the Board’s President from 30 January 1983 to 18 February 1987. He is credited with inspiring the age group cricket structure in Bangladesh through the introduction of the Nirman School Cricket Tournament, a nationwide school cricket competition during his tenure as the President of the then Bangladesh Cricket Control Board (BCCB).

Ex-BCB General Secy Raisuddin dies

Ex-BCB General Secy Raisuddin dies Raisuddin Ahmed, former General Secretary and Vice President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB),  died at a city hospital on Wednesday. He was 82. He breathed his last at 10 am at Evercare Hospital. Raisuddin was admitted to the hospital on December 25 with Covid-19 symptoms and was released from hospital after recovery. But, later, had been admitted again following lung infection. UNB adds: Raisuddin Ahmed was a former  Director (Admin) of national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines. He was the general secretary of erstwhile Bangladesh Cricket Control Board (BCCB) from 1975 to 1981 and served the board as vice president from 1991 to 2001.
