KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Governor Andy Beshear gave a COVID-19 briefing at 3 p.m. Monday.
Governor Beshear says 27,300 Pfizer vaccines and 76,700 Moderna vaccines will be allocated this week. He says 33,800 Moderna vaccines will be allocated next week.
The governor reports 1,988 new cases, bringing the total in the Commonwealth to 244,297.
The positivity rate sits at 8.64%
We are told there are 15 additional deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 2,412.
On Saturday, December 19, 2020 the Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) reported 144 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases with 68 in Daviess County, 8 in Hancock County, 35 in Henderson County, 6 in McLean County, 9 in Ohio County, 10 in Union County, and 8 in Webster County.
There have been 11,330 reported COVID-19 cases in the district to date.
The district-wide total of recovered cases is now 8,540 (75%).
51 reported confirmed cases are currently hospitalized.
589 (5%) have required hospitalization.
There have been 203 COVID-19 related deaths in the district.
The state of Kentucky is currently reporting 237,190 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,344 statewide deaths.

Henderson County reports two-day total of 35 new cases of COVID-19
HENDERSON, Ky. Thirty-five new cases of COVID-19 were reported Monday in Henderson County as a two-day total from the weekend by the Green River District Health Department. Twelve new cases were reported in Union County and four in Webster County.
The Green River District Health Department reported 90 new cases in its seven-county area on Monday with 33 cases in Daviess County, four in McLean County and one each in Hancock County and Ohio County.
The incidence rate, which measures the average daily cases per 100k population over the past seven days, increased to 55.6 in Henderson County as of Sunday afternoon, which held it in the red or critical level. Union County and Webster County remained in the critical level at 60.6 and 37.5, respectively.
