Highlights The diaspora accused Pakistan of trying to create a wedge between Pakistani and European Sikhs ISLAMABAD: Sikh diaspora has condemned Pakistan’s machination of defaming the Sikh community and trying to create a wedge between Pakistani and European Sikhs by projecting a Muslim man in the guise of a Sikh and inciting them to give a befitting reply to French people for allegedly publishing a caricature of Prophet Muhammad.   In a video message uploaded on social media, a sky blue turban-wearing person supporting a beard introduces himself as ‘Sardar Ji while greeting both Aslamu alaikum and Sasriakar. The Sikh look-alike person who is identified as Sardar Qasam Dogar Singh in Pakistan raises a slogan of “Gustakh e rasool ki eik hi saza , sar dar say juda (only punishment for blasphemy of Prophet is separating the head from the body).

100 out of 815 Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan test COVID positive upon return to India

Express News Service CHANDIGARH: At least 100 Sikh pilgrims among 815 who went to Pakistan to celebrate Baisakhi have tested positive on their return on Thursday. The Sikh devotees had gone to Lahore’s Gurdwara Panja Sahib on the last day of Baisakhi. Besides visiting Gurdwara Panja Sahib at Hasan Abdal on April 14, they visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur on April 19 and other places. Sources said that pilgrims underwent the mandatory Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) soon after they reached the Joint Check Post situated on Attar-Wagah border.  There were reports that many of these pilgrims will be asked to undergo the more dependable RT-PCR test.

Over 200 Sikh pilgrims test +ve on return from Pakistan

1385 Sikh pilgrims return from Pakistan after celebrating Baisakhi, at the Wagah border in Amritsar on Thursday. Vishal kumar Amritsar, April 22 Over 200 Punjab pilgrims who went to Pakistan to celebrate Baisakhi tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. They underwent the mandatory rapid antigen test on their arrival at the Integrated Check Post, Attari. As they were all asymptomatic, they were advised home-quarantine. Some of the pilgrims, however, confronted the health staff after their reports came positive for the infection, said Civil Surgeon Charanjit Singh. High drama prevailed at the ICP as a few of them tore the test reports, saying that when they left for Pakistan their reports were negative.
