LAHORE:Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar along with provincial ministers and assembly members expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
They vowed to stand by the Kashmiris until their freedom. Indian atrocities on Kashmir were also strongly condemned. The main ceremony of the Punjab government on Kashmir Solidarity Day was held at Governor’s House on Friday.
Addressing the ceremony, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had emerged as the ambassador of Kashmir. LAHORE:US Consul General in Lahore, Catherine Rodriguez, called on Punjab Governor, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar. They discussed matters pertaining to Pak-US relations, Kashmir issue and the war on terror.
The meeting between US Consul General Catherine Rodriguez and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar took place at Governor’s House here Thursday. Talking on the occasion, Punjab Governor said that the bilateral ties between Pakistan and the United States were getting stronger with each passing day. The role of the United States in Pakistan s economic development and prosperity was commendable. The governor expressed hope that the US President Joe Biden would play his role in resolving the Kashmir issue.

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, who is also chancellor of all public sector varsities in the province, has directed the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) vice chancellor to remove its registrar and controller of examination as an inquiry committee found their appointment illegal.
As per a directive issued by the governor/chancellor, he was informed by the Higher Education Department (HED) that during the audit of the UET for the period of 2013-2014, an objection was raised on“unlawful/ irregular” appointments of the varsity registrar, deputy registrars and controller of examination.
