Butte News - Wednesday s COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled, Health Department announces two additional fatalities

  February 22, 2021Wednesday’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Butte Civic Center is on, with the clinic focused on those ages 70 and older, and those ages 65 and older with certain underlying health conditions. The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Butte-Silver Bow Health Officer Karen Sullivan said Monday that Butte’s Unified Health Command, which facilitates the county’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics, received a substantial shipment of the Moderna vaccine, allowing this week’s clinic to move forward. Last week’s clinic was canceled due to national shipping issues, related to poor weather conditions, in the Southern United States.

Two of the fatalities occurred in January. Six of the fatalities are associated with community members at large, while two are associated with Continental Care and Rehabilitation Center. One fatality is associated with each of the following care homes – The Springs at Butte, BeeHive Homes of Butte, and Crest Nursing Home.
