Frenchy’s was started by Hubert Jean Frenchy Lacrosse in 1969, and the bar remained open until 1994, when Lacrosse sold the location to Hansen Ford.
According to Pat Endres, who co-owns the El Roco Bar and Grill with his brothers, Paul and Tom, the period of time between the 1990s and the mid-2000s was when the bar was at the peak of its popularity. GRAND FORKS Grand Forks police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Vincent Chase Villarreal, 28, in relation to the murder of Jeffrey Allen Shulzitski, 55, in a Grand Forks motel last month. Police confirmed in a news release Tuesday, Jan. 12, that Shulzitski died due to a gunshot wound.

CROOKSTON, Minn. A person of interest in a Grand Forks homicide investigation has been apprehended in Crookston and is being held in Polk County.
Vincent Chase Villarreal, 28, was arrested at the North Acre Estates trailer park by the Crookston Police Department with assistance from the Pine to Prairie Violent Crimes Enforcement Team and the Grand Forks Regional Special Operations Group just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30.

A person of interest in a Grand Forks homicide investigation has been apprehended in Crookston and is being held in Polk County.
Vincent Chase Villarreal, 28, was arrested at the North Acre Estates trailer park by the Crookston Police Department with assistance from the Pine to Prairie Violent Crimes Enforcement Team and the Grand Forks Regional Special Operations Group just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30. Crookston police called his arrest a high-risk warrant service.
