GUWAHATI: North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday dared newly floated regional parties in the state, Aasu-backed Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) and KMSS-supported Raijor Dal, to unite with Congress-AIUDF and consolidate the Miya (migrant) Muslim votes in the fight against BJP in the upcoming Assam election.
He said the people of Assam will tag the two new parties as B-teams of the BJP , if their staying away from the Congress-AIUDF ultimately helps the saffron coalitions. “We are ready to face the challenge of Congress, AIUDF, AJP, Raijor Dal and all other anti-BJP parties. Immediately, Lurinjyoti Gogoi, Akhil Gogoi, Hagrama Mohilary, Congress and AIUDF should unite,” Himanta said.
