Consumers are starting to run out of artificial steam. The free Pandemic money has been dropping for months and in November nearly faded out. For the first time since April, consumers spent less all around; they spent less on services, nondurable goods, and even on durable goods, which had been spiking in astounding manner.

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, individuals throughout the country have experienced significant financial worry and loss of income. According to the U.S. Census Bureau s Household Pulse Survey, from Nov. 25-Dec. 7, there were 76,695,393 reports of expected loss of employment income. Although some economic losses are being tracked as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the greater economic toll for the population at large remains to be seen.
