ISLAMABAD, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) A terrorist was killed and five others were arrested during a raid at their hideout in the southern port city of Karachi of Pakistan s Sindh province, officials said on Monday.
Personnel of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police in Karachi conducted the operation in the wee hours of Monday in the Shah Latif Town area during which the terrorists hurled a hand grenade on the armored vehicle of the CTD, Omer Shahid Hamid, deputy inspector general of CTD Sindh, told local media.
As a result, an exchange of fire took place between terrorists and police, killing one militant on the spot, the official said, adding that another five were also taken into custody during the raid.
