Dunnell is opposed to timing of Glover’s appointment
School Board Member Deidra Dunnell raised an objection to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr.’s recommendation to fill the district’s director of personnel position without first considering findings outlined in a report generated by a Tallahassee attorney charged with reviewing the district’s overall hiring practices.
Former Taylor County School District Director of Personnel Michael Thompson retired in March, and Dunnell voiced her concerns just before school board members prepared to vote on Glover’s recommendation to appoint long-time Taylor County Middle School Principal Kiki Puhl to the position.
