KOLKATA: BJP leader Tathagata Roy on Thursday said his party s top brass has called him to Delhi at the earliest, a day after he criticised some of the measures taken by the saffron camp s decision-makers ahead of the assembly elections.
The BJP pocketed just 77 seats in the just-concluded Bengal polls, with the TMC having bagged 213 constituencies.
The saffron party had set a target of winning over 200 seats.

RAJKOT: After days of nightmarish wait to get admission into the civil hospital, there was some respite in Rajkot as the number of new cases in the government and private hospitals reduced by around 15% in the last three days.
The long queues of vehicles and ambulances on the Chaudhary High School ground also reduced from average 50-60 vehicles to just around 10 in three days.
There was also a significant reduction in number of patients at Covid OPD of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay (PDU) Hospital (Rajkot civil hospital). According to hospital officials, there is 28% reduction in OPD patients.

AAA Nine rural local bodies of Karnataka have won the national-level panchayat awards for efficient implementation of schemes for transformation of rural areas.
The six panchayats that have won the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Raj Sashaktikaran are: Hassan Zilla Panchayat, Pandavapura Taluk Panchayat, Bengaluru East Taluk Panchayat, Tumminakatte Gram Panchayat, Yadaganahalli Gram Panchayat, and Karna Kuppe Gram Panchayat. Bengaluru East Taluk Panchayat has bagged the award for providing land for all 11 GPs in Anekal for solid waste management, for encroachment clearance drive, and for digitisation of records, according to Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner J. Manjunath.
