Police arrived in Helston town centre this lunchtime to keep an eye on the unofficial Flora Day celebrations taking place. Despite the event being cancelled, many people have been left wanting to celebrate the day still and have organised their own activities. Although not nearly the same numbers as a normal Flora Day would expect to see, a small crowd began to build outside the Guildhall ahead of midday, when the Ancient Furry Dance would normally be beginning. As a result, police arrived to oversee what was happening and ensure no rules were being broken. People stood outside the Guildhall at midday. Picture: Kathy White
