Among the group were two nurses, who were wine tasting along Old Mission Peninsula.
When the group reached Bonobo Winery, a woman collapsed and hit her head while falling down.
The nurses didn’t feel the woman’s pulse and performed CPR, bringing her back before she was taken to the hospital for apparently experiencing low blood pressure.
The group’s tour bus driver says he couldn’t believe the quick actions the nurses made to save a life.
“One started doing chest compressions, the other started doing mouth to mouth, and within like, a little less than four minutes later, she’d come back around, and she woke up and started apologizing,” said Dan Mackey, Co-Owner of Magic Shuttle Bus. “Yeah, so they brought her back to life basically.”

Sutton’s Bay Public Schools hosted an open house for their middle school students to learn about their new curriculum and new learning space.
The middle school currently shares the building with the high school, but over the next summer the school will renovate part of the elementary school to allow middle schoolers their own space.
Students and parents also met to learn about the new curriculum next year. This includes “exploratory courses,” which are longer classes that students can switch throughout the year based on their interests.
“There will be some really cool opportunities for students next year,” said Shelagh Fehrenbach, Elementary and Middle School Principal at Sutton’s Bay Public Schools. “I think one of the most important parts for middle schoolers is a really important element of choice, that they can have some agency over their coursework and the things they’re studying within their courses.”
Frankfort-Elberta Area Schools Install AED Kit At Lockhart Field
May 10, 2021
Frankfort-Elberta Area Schools have finished installing a new AED kit at Lockhart Field.
The AED kit will be ready and accessible during football, baseball and softball games should the need ever arise. The school received the kit after applying for a grant from the Wes Leonard Heart Foundation.
Wes Leonard was a student athlete that collapsed and died after scoring a game winning basketball shot.
In 2019, Frankfort saw a student suffer a seizure while practicing cheerleading on the sidelines of a football game.
Frankfort’s Athletic Director hopes this device will keep them prepared for whatever emergency might occur in the future.
