EXO Baekhyun and TXT are becoming more popular in Japan as they continue to release music in the country. And because of their wide fame, the two Korean acts have earned their gold certifications with their new Japanese albums.
For a work to receive a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), it must reach 100,000 units shipped to Japan. And on Feb. 13, the RIAJ revealed the certifications for January 2021 and these include singles, albums, and music videos that were released between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31.

On the list, EXO Baekhyun s first solo Japanese mini-album BAEKHYUN and TXT s first full Japanese album Still Dreaming were revealed to have been certified gold in Japan. Both of the albums were launched on Jan. 20.

Demon Slayer song artist is 2nd person to receive award
Kenji Ozeki, mayor of Seki City in Gifu prefecture, announced on Tuesday that he is presenting the Citizen s Honor Award to LiSA, who has performed the theme songs Gurenge from the
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba television anime and Homura from the
Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train anime film. LiSA, whose hometown is Seki, is the second person to receive the award in the city s 70-year history.
Ozeki is sending an imitation sword adorned with LiSA s name to the singer. The decision to commemorate her award with a sword came from a vote of 1,500 junior high school students from the city.
