Log Still Distillery’s Tasting Room Set To Open May 18th
Kentucky state and local officials joined the Dant family, owners of the new Log Still distillery, this past week to cut the ribbon on the distillery’s tasting room, which signifies a major step forward for a two-phase project expected to create 146 full-time jobs with $36 million in total investment.
“This is a great day for Nelson County and Kentucky’s thriving bourbon industry,” said Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear in a prepared statement. “Log Still Distillery’s campus embodies everything that makes the bourbon industry so important to our state. This project will provide economic growth for the surrounding area while attracting visitors from across the state and beyond our borders.
HUNTINGTON â More than 250 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in West Virginia on Tuesday.
The state Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reported 258 cases, for a total of 156,875, and five new deaths, for a total of 2,734.
The deaths included a 65-year-old man from Putnam County.

Gov. Andy Beshear on Tuesday touted Kentucky s progress toward reaching a post-pandemic normal while celebrating a startup bourbon distillery the kind of event his predecessors savored.
The governor participated in a ribbon cutting for a tasting room where visitors will sample spirits crafted at Log Still Distillery in Nelson County.
