More frontline health care workers in Palm Beach County are being vaccinated for COVID-19 this week.
Boca Raton Regional and Bethesda Memorial Hospitals in Boynton Beach are giving their doctors and other staff members the Moderna vaccine, beginning on Monday.
Palm Beach County Health Director, Dr. Alina Alonso with the Florida Dept. of Health, says 18,000 doses are being distributed to the county over the next four weeks.
She said the Moderna vaccine is the one being specifcally given in Palm Beach County because it s much easier to handle, and it also has a very good efficacy.

When it comes to getting the coronavirus vaccine, those in the country illegally will not be left behind. This virus is an equal opportunity for everybody. And so we re going to protect the community we have to protect the whole community.everybody who s here.

Nobody will be asked for their Social Security number or to present documentation of citizenship when lining up for the COVID-19 vaccine, once it s available to the general public. All that will be asked is your name and date of birth.
