Lange, 61, was arrested after Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office matched his DNA to a sample from Mildred Matheny, who was murdered in 1985 Matheny, who suffered from dementia, had wandered away from her home in Lake Worth, Florida She was found beaten and nude on a dirt road 25 miles away seven hours later  She died 11 days later of her injuries The case has been cold since then, until cops resubmitted a DNA sample from the victim to a state database in March during a periodic review
