LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. â A Lake Worth Beach woman faces a charge of attempted first-degree murder after deputies said she stabbed her boyfriend New Year s Day.
Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said the incident happened just before 2 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of South Federal Hwy.
When deputies arrived, they found a man with stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital and expected to survive.
Belinda Jean Baptiste, 42, was arrested in the attack and made her first appearance in court Saturday morning.

The front of the vehicle hit a pedestrian, identified as Rudy Leonel Martin Jimenes, 29, of Lake Worth Beach, who investigators said was lighting fireworks on the road.
Jimenes was dragged by the minivan to the intersection of Lake Avenue.

GREENACRES A second person is facing a charge of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm following a Dec. 5 shooting at a Greenacres mobile-home park that left a man with a gunshot wound to his head, the Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office said.
Ruben Arias, 20, is being held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail. He is also facing a charge of discharging a firearm from a vehicle following his arrest Tuesday.
Authorities arrested Jose Castellon Sanchez, 16, on Dec. 6, and he is facing adult charges in the shooting at the Casa del Monte mobile-home park along Forest Hill Boulevard. He is also is being held in jail without bail.
