The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has once again named Spainâs airport operator AENA in the yearly list of organisations receiving the coveted âAâ rating.
AENA is one of only 10 Spanish companies to achieve a place on the CDP âA Listâ.
It marks the
second year in a row that AENA has gained the most prestigious accolade in recognition of its decarbonisation and environmental stewardship commitments.
The state-owned operator has reviewed targets in its climate change strategy, part of the companyâs Climate Action Plan, in recent months.

TRBusiness is delighted to announce that the consumer-voted 2021 Travel Retail Awards will take place on the evening of Tuesday 28 September during the flagship TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.

The move to Cannes will represent a ‘first’ for the hugely popular event originally launched in 2018 in Singapore.
Last year, the awards took place as a virtual ceremony due to the Covid-affected cancellations of the TFWA Asia Pacific and World Exhibition & Conferences.

Travel Retail Sustainability Week, the duty free and travel retail industryâs first virtual event dedicated solely to sustainability, takes place on 19-23 April.
Industry thought leaders and sustainability pioneers will join a stand-out speaker lineup at the inaugural Travel Retail Sustainability Week (TRSW).
The virtual event takes place from 19-23 April to coincide with World Earth Day on Thursday 22 April.
Travel Retail Sustainability Week aims to propel the travel retail industry’s knowledge and understanding of, as well as its investment in, environmental business practices.
As reported, interest in Travel Retail Sustainability Week continues to soar.
The five-day programme is set to address a range of different perspectives including sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics such as packaging, plastic bottles and bags.
