OHIO s College of Business Andrew Pueschel awarded MAC-Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success for 2021

Ohio University College of Business associate professor of instruction in the management department Dr. Andrew Pueschel has been selected as the Ohio University winner of the second annual Mid-American Conference (MAC) Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success. “Our faculty are extremely committed to student success both in and out of the classroom, especially Dr. Pueschel, who constantly serves his students and encourages them to go after their goals,” Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Sayrs said. “I am very proud of Andrew for being selected for this award. He is very deserving to be recognized for his outstanding dedication exhibited throughout his interactions with student.”

Health leaders encourage college students to be vaccinated

Indiana State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box believes a lot of young people are eager for life to return to normal. Dr. Maureen Johnson, associate professor for the Department of Applied Health Sciences at Indiana State University, says when she learned that the age for COVID vaccinations was being lowered to 16, she started her on-campus classes by making sure her students knew they would soon be elgible. Students really need to take advantage, well everybody who s eligible needs to take advantage of it, said Johnson. Because it s really the only way we re going to start to make our way back to life before the pandemic. It s a great opportunity for us to protect ourselves.

Binghamton University’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences has officially opened at its brand new location in Johnson City. Relocated to a former Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company factory, the renovations give the building a modern twist, with off-white walls and black window trim, while keeping the building’s original 1916 brick and pillars intact, according to Patti Reuther, director of the Innovative Simulation and Practice Center (ISPC).
