If you ve been lucky enough to ever venture over the mile long trail that makes up the Orono Bog Boardwalk, you know what a treasure it is and how lucky we are to have it in our neck of the woods. Orono Bog Boardwalk via Facebook Part of it runs through the Bangor City Forest. Part of it runs through the Town of Orono. And yet a third part of the Boardwalk is owned by the University of Maine. These 3 entities have worked together, for years, to watch over this treasure, according the University s website. The Bog Boardwalk is a joint venture of the University of Maine, the City of Bangor, and the Orono Land Trust.
