It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joseph Andrew Humenik of Dumfries, VA on Sunday, May 9th at the age of 72 years. Joe was born in Gary, Indiana; graduated from Perdue University, was a longtime employee of the federal government, and has lived in Northern Virginia for over 45 years. He was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Dale City, VA since 1980 where he served as a CCD educator, usher, and lay eucharist minister. Joe was also an active member of Knights of Columbus John Paul I Council 7165 since 1985. In 2015, he received his 4th Degree Knight, a Sir Knight of Father Edward L. Richardson Assembly 3174.

Photo by Eric Hylden/Grand Forks Herald GRAND FORKS Mary Anne Tupa has rarely skipped a beat in six decades of playing piano and organ during Sunday Mass at Grand Forks Holy Family Catholic Church. The only time Tupa, 94, has taken a break from playing was when she retired from the music ministry in the winter of 1988 so she could travel with her husband. A few months without accompanying the cantor and congregation on the organ or piano was enough for her, and she was back on the bench by summer.

(Photo: YouTube) For 10 years Andrew Lin was driven by a sense of self-worth that propelled him to seek love in the wrong earthly places until his life took a dramatic and unexpected turn about seven years ago.  Following university, he worked as a general insurance loss adjuster for three years when he met with migrants and blue-collar workers in Singapore. He turned to relationships with girls, hoping they could fulfil him. But he was still bothered by a profound emptiness.
