Each submission must include the following: Date, time and location of event, whether it is recurring or a one-time happening, and where to go for more information (phone, email and/or website). Also include whether the event is free or paid admission, and how much it costs when applicable.

Josephine “Nana” Griffo, 90, of Steubenville died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Trinity West. She was born March 31, 1931 in Dillonvale. She is the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Marino.
She is also preceded in death by her husband John Griffo of 42 years who passed in 1992; brothers Bill, Frank, Mike and Jim. Sisters Maryann Koelling, Dorothy Myers and Esther Adams.
She leaves behind daughters Marilyn (Bill) Owens, Patty (Ace) Flaherty and Nancy (Donald) Gundrum; brothers Bob and Pat; grandchildren; Amy (Dave) Ford, Jason (Rosa) Gundrum, Kerry (Dennis) Fitzgibbons, Brian Owens, Dawnel (Ronnie) Dayton, Mathew Flaherty, Tracey Flaherty and nine great-grand- children.

Rene Rost Middle School evacuated Wednesday following bomb threat

Rene Rost Middle School was evacuated due to a bomb threat on Wednesday.
The Vermilion Parish School System says that because of the threat, all students were moved to Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The School dismissed from Holy Rosary Catholic Church at their normal dismissal time of 2:21. The car rider pickup line formed down Church Street.
The Kaplan Police Department placed officers at the school and K9s were on campus for a sweep of the building.
