COLUMBIA, S.C. â The Coastal Carolina womenâs indoor track & field team wrapped up its indoor track & field regular season on Saturday at USC Indoor Open in Columbia, S.C. The Chanticleers recorded 13 top-10 finishes while three Chants climbed into the top-10 of the Coastal Carolina all-time indoor performance list in four different events.
Sophomore Ashley Rulison recorded a runner-up finish in the womenâs 5000-meter run with a time of 19:12.12, while freshman Jermaisha Arnold crossed the finish line in second overall in the womenâs 400-meter dash with her time of 54.36.

Opelika, Northridge Close Strong to Claim AHSAA 6A Indoor Track Championships
BIRMINGHAM – Opelika High School’s boys and Northridge High School’s girls dominated the sprints and field events as both schools captured the AHSAA Class 6A State Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex Friday.
The Class 6A boys and girls will competed in the first session Saturday, and Class 7A was scheduled to close the 51stchampionships in the second sessionbeginning at 3 p.m.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Winfield City High School won the Class 1A/3A boysâ state title Friday as the 51st AHSAA Indoor Track and Field Championships got underway at the Birmingham CrossPlex Friday.
The Pirates of Coach Steve Reaves won the 1A/3A boysâ competition with 108 points. It was the fourth indoor track state title overall for Winfield. Montgomery Catholic finished runner-up with 88, Providence Christian was third with 45 and Ohatchee was fourth with 43.5. DâAngelo Bankhead captured the long jump for Winfield with a 20-07.25 leap. Jack Williamson got the win in the triple jump for the Pirates going 43-10.75.

For the second time in as many weeks, the Arkansas State track and field athletes earned a pair of Sun Belt Conference Athlete of the Week honors, as Lauren Beauchamp and Carter Shell were tabbed Women’s and Men’s Field Athletes of the Week on Thursday.
Beauchamp and Shell are the third and fourth athletes to earn conference weekly honors so far this season, as Jermie Walker (Men’s Track) and Camryn Newton-Smith (Women’s Field) garnered laurels in the first weekly awards of the season on Jan. 28. Beauchamp’s award is the second weekly honor of her career, doing so on Feb. 19, 2020. Thursday marks the second weekly honor for Shell, who earned Men’s Field Athlete of the Week as a freshman on April 11, 2018.
