The Flying Carp, at 745 Asbury Ave., opened in 1987 and featured clothing from Beyond Threads, Comfy, Eileen Fisher, Gerties, Terri Logan, Kedem Sasson, Oska, Planet, Skif, Transparente, Hester Van Eeghen, Margaret Winters, and Xiao.
Owner Nada Conway posted her closing announcement on Facebook, saying she will miss interacting with her customers.
It is with sadness that I announce the closing of the Flying Carp Clothing Gallery, March 1, 2021. I will miss trying on clothes with you all and the camaraderie we have shared for 33 years.. am so grateful for your support and patronage. I have been blessed with great customers and a wonderful staff, headed by Judy Yard. I wish we could have a party.
