The police seized 673 vehicles from motorists who roamed on city roads on Sunday in violation of Section 144 of Cr. P.C.

KOTA BARU (Bernama): A man was arrested in Kampung Kebun near Pengkalan Kubor, Tumpat, on Saturday (April 25) for allegedly smuggling exotic animals worth more than RM60,000 into the country.
General Operations Force (GOF) 7th Battalion commanding officer Supt Azhari Nusi said the 33-year-old man was detained at 11.30pm, during the operation codenamed ‘Op Benteng’.
He said a team of policemen on patrol spotted the man, in a Proton Iswara Aeroback car behaving in a suspicious manner at about 11.20pm.
“Inspection of the car found 80 tortoises of the sulcata species worth RM44,000; 12 Indian star tortoises (RM12,000); a reticulated python (RM1,600); three squirrels of the red giant flying species (RM1,800) and a black dragon lizard (RM2,400).

DUBLIN: Two pipe bombs, gunpowder, ammunition and drugs have been seized in Co Louth, the Garda said.
The haul was discovered when gardai investigating organised crime searched a house in Drogheda town at 11pm on Thursday. They discovered 1,100 euro worth of suspected cocaine and 500 euro worth of suspected Alprazolam tablets along with the pipe bombs and a large quantity of firearms ammunition.
The scene was cordoned off and a number of houses in the area were evacuated as part of the operation.
The Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called to the scene and safely removed two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other material believed to be used in the manufacture of explosives for further detailed examination.
