In todayâs automotive world, a vehicle like the Toyota Land Cruiser truly stands out, as itâs among the last of a dying breed, and that breed is high-priced, extra large body-on-frame SUVs.
The Land Cruiser has been around for seven full decades, starting in 1951 as Toyotaâs version of a Jeep-style, off-road vehicle. Over the years it has retained that off-road ability while evolving into perhaps the classiest vehicle offered by Toyota.

Toyota has dressed up its range-topping LandCruiser 200 Series Sahara with the 2021 Horizon special edition, featuring a raft of styling treatments that deliver a premium aesthetic.
Just 400 examples of the exclusive Horizon special edition will be available when it goes on sale in March 2021.
From the front, the Horizon is distinguished by a unique design grille with a dark finish, black headlight surrounds and smoked chrome foglight surrounds. At the rear is a “Horizon” badge.
The Toyota Land Cruiser will be getting the Horizon treatment Down Under, which includes a host of stylistic updates inside and out, in a package that will be limited to 400 examples.
Set to launch in March 2021, with a AU$131,896 (equal to US$99,528) starting price, it builds on the LC200 Sahara grade, to which it adds a dark finish for the grille, black headlamp surrounds and smoked chrome fog light surrounds. The puddle lamps displaying the ‘Land Cruiser’ logo and the rear ‘Horizon’ badge complete the look on the outside.
Trimmed in black leather, the cockpit also features black trim, chrome accents and high-end stitching in the door cards. Elsewhere, the flagship Toyota SUV is equipped with power adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, 9-inch touchscreen display, satellite navigation system, rear-seat entertainment with DVD player, premium audio and keyless entry and go.
