Rawalpindi: Dr Hasan Orooj, director general Health, Directorate of Health Services, Metropolitan Corporation, Islamabad, has been appointed as adjunct faculty In Department of Public Health at University of Health Science, Lahore, says a press release.
The Vice Chancellor of University of Health Science has appointed Dr Hasan Orooj for the academic session 2020-2021, as per policy of the university approved by its Board of Governors.

A more easily spread coronavirus variant, first identified in England last year, has now become the dominant variant in Lahore, says UHS.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) had last year approved a grant of Rs 13 million for the research project.
Lead researcher says the study would play an important role in preventing the spread of coronavirus, developing effective vaccines.

ISLAMABAD: After a continuous rise in Covid-19 cases for almost three months, a downward trend was finally witnessed on Monday as both the positivity ratio and number of cases declined.
However, experts believe that Pakistan has been facing the situation similar to that of last Ramazan and the number of cases may increase again if people violated the coronavirus-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) as they did during the Eid holidays last year.

ISLAMABAD: After a continuous rise in Covid-19 cases for almost three months, a downward trend was finally witnessed on Monday as both the positivity ratio and number of cases declined.
However, experts believe that Pakistan has been facing the situation similar to that of last Ramazan and the number of cases may increase again if people violated the coronavirus-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) as they did during the Eid holidays last year.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Faisal Sultan said the government vowed to vaccinate 70 million people by the end of the current year.
