PMC reveals names of medical universities that are yet to share final list of admitted students

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) on Monday shared an important update on the list of medical universities that have yet to submit admission lists to the PMC. Important announcement regarding final lists of admitted students requested by PMC from provincial admitting universities, tweeted the commission.
PMC said that the universities that had not shared their lists of admitted students include:
1. Khyber Medical University, KP
2. Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Sindh
3. University of Health Sciences, Punjab
Lebanon Hospital Foundation Offers New Scholarship February 14, 2021 SHARE
The Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees announces the creation of a new scholarship, the Julietta A. Pape Scholarship. The scholarship was made possible by a generous grant from the Julietta A. Pape Fund of the Lutheran Funds of InFaith Community Foundation.
Pape was born in 1927 at home on a family farm southeast of Lebanon. She passed away in August 2020 at age 93 and was a lifelong member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Pape graduated from Lebanon High School, received a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State College and a master’s degree from the University of Oregon. She taught elementary and middle school in Corvallis for many years. Pape was a consistent and generous annual donor to the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation.
Another Chinese vaccine gets nod for emergency use in Pakistan
The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan has issued emergency use authorization to the COVID-19 vaccine by Chinese company Cansino Biologics Inc.

ISLAMABAD: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap) has issued emergency use authorization to the COVID-19 vaccine by Chinese company Cansino Biologics Inc, officials said, adding the supply of the doses will begin in a few weeks.
It will become the fourth vaccine to be allowed for emergency use in Pakistan, the Dawn news reported.
Cansino Biologics Inc is the only company that has conducted clinical trials in Pakistan, with around 18,000 volunteers participating from across the country.
