The state was reporting an additional 67 COVID-19 deaths, even as more than half of Iowa s counties were reporting a 14-day positivity rate below 15%.
Following a coronavirus spike, nearly all of Iowa s counties were above 15% in November. For much of the month, there were only a handful of counties were below 15%.
On Tuesday, 45 of Iowa s 99 counties had a 14-day positivity rate above 15%, while another 45 counties were reporting between 10% and 15%. Polk County, the state s most populous, was at 14.2%. Nine counties were reporting below 10%.
