04/13/21 A Coralville man was charged with assault on police officers after a domestic incident Saturday morning. Arrest reports indicate that officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Westview Drive on reports of a male and female involved in a dispute outside. Upon arrival, police heard a large thud from inside the house, consistent with someone being thrown against a wall. When they opened the front door, they came upon a woman being held in a bear hug by 31-year-old Terry Christian. Christian was asked to step outside to speak with officers, and he complied, but allegedly took off running. Once they caught up with him, he reportedly resisted. Christian is accused of biting one officer’s hand while trying to handcuff him, breaking the skin. The other officer suffered a black eye and red swollen cheek. Both officers reportedly had abrasions on their knees and elbows from the scuffle, and Christian is accused of ripping their uniforms and pulling equipment off of them while
