KU replaces criminology dept chairman over sexual harassment charges

The University of Karachi on Wednesday replaced Dr Ghulam Muhammad Burfat as the Department of Criminology chairperson on the recommendation of the anti-sexual harassment committee that was investigating a complaint filed by a female faculty member.
The office order issued by KU Registrar Prof Dr Abdul Waheed states that on behalf of the syndicate, the vice chancellor has approved Prof Dr Farah Iqbal to replace the chairperson of the criminology department.
The VC has also ordered Dr Burfat to immediately hand over the charge to Dr Farah. She is also the current chairperson of the Department of Psychology.

KARACHI: The University of Karachi on Wednesday announced the schedule for registration to several programmes, including Master of Arts (MA), double MA, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), as well as the improvement of division for BA, BCom and BSc programmes.
According to the Controller of Examinations at the University of Karachi Dr Syed Zafar Hussain, the varsity has also announced the submission schedule of examination forms and the fee of BA (Pass) (Regular) Part-I, II and both parts Annual Examinations 2020 and BCom Part-I, II, both parts and improvement of division (External) Annual Examinations 2020.
KU cancels admission of four students for submitting forged documents

KARACHI: The University of Karachi on Sunday announced that it has cancelled the admissions of four candidates for submitting forged documents.
According to the Directorate of Admissions in charge Dr Saima Akhtar, supporting admission documents submitted by four candidates were sent to the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) for verification after which they were declared fake.
She said that a candidate named Saif-ur-Rehman, son of Qaiser Rehman had submitted a tampered marks sheet to get admission in BSc (H) in the Department of Chemistry. His admission form number was 362276.
