Patrícia Luís-Manso has +15 years’ experience in analytical and leadership roles in commodities, investment banking and network industries. In her current role at S&P Global Platts, Patricia is responsible for Agriculture and Metals Analytics, leading a global team of experts in Sugar, Grains, Oilseeds, Biofuels and Metals to generate essential data and intelligence for the Energy and commodities markets.
Prior to this role, Patrícia was Head of Sugar and Ethanol Research at Louis Dreyfus Commodities, where she managed a global team with focus on developing critical market analysis to design trading strategies. Patrícia has also worked at Kingsman SA, now part of S&P Global Platts, for 7 years as Senior Analyst and Head of Research & Reports.

The pause in vaccination using the AstraZeneca shot comes as COVID-19 is surging across the continent and as Britain is expecting major delays in its vaccine deliveries. Tens of thousands of new daily cases have prompted new lockdown measures in Italy, caused hospitalizations in France to spike and led German officials to announce that a third wave of COVID-19 has begun.
Figures from the European Centers for Disease Prevention and Control this week show there are about 7 million unused AstraZeneca vaccines across the 27-nation EU.
The German government defended its decision to suspend the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, saying it was based on expert advice.
And after nearly a decade at the Sweet Briar Road chemicals factory, Mr Ashbee decided to take the plunge into teaching , completing an eight-year course at the University of East Anglia while he was still working, and with a young family for the last couple of years of the course.
He said the transition into teaching is now much quicker for those hoping to change career.
Mr Ashbee added: The part of teaching I really enjoy is the practical work and there is a real help from what I have done in the past. I have always had a fascination with how things work like a wire going into a bulb.
