To encourage learning and reading amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) library is offering a version of its community pantry with its free e-resources supplies available online.

Called the “Thomasian Community E-Resources Pantry,” UST Miguel de Benavides (UST MdB) Library said the initiative is meant to help the students “unwind, reduce stress, and cope with the health crisis.”
“Community pantries are flourishing these days to provide mutual aid and help each other out at this time of global health crisis, a Bayanihan way, indeed,” UST MdB wrote on Facebook.

PTV news anchor and television host Diane Querrer added another feather to her cap when she finished the Master in Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.
“Finally, after a year of delay due to the pandemic, I was able to pass the MBA Comprehensive Exam. Thank you UP VSB Cesar EA Virata School of Business, to all my UP professors! Special thanks to Ms. Ida David, my batchmates/classmates, study sesh group, and to my MBA mentor friends! Thank you to my loving family for the outpouring support!” said Diane.

Ivy-ron Quinto, Program Officer, Philippines
Ivy-ron Quinto, Program Officer, joined ABA ROLI in April 2021. Prior to ABA ROLI, she worked with the Initiatives for Dialogue and Empowerment Through Alternative Legal Services (IDEALS) Inc. as a legal officer, providing legal services and technical assistance to vulnerable groups. She was highly involved in projects responding to the victims of human rights violations arising from the current drug policy in the Philippines. She was able to support those interventions through documentation, capacity building, data analysis, and immediate legal assistance. Ivy-ron received her Bachelor’s degree in Arts major in Political Science from University of Santo Tomas and her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Arellano University School of Law.
