Santisimo Rosario Parish urged the public to pray for the souls of Sonia and Frank.
The parish also joined the call for justice for the fatalities identified as Sonia Gregorio, 52, and her 25-year old son, Frank Anthony Gregorio.
On Sunday, Police Senior Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca turned himself in after he was accused of shooting his neighbors. The two victims died on the spot due to bullet wounds in the head.
Both are residents of Purok 2, in Barangay Cabayaoasan in Paniqui town.
According to multiple reports, the shooting was sparked by a confrontation over the firing of “boga,” an improvised cannon made of PVC pipe that produces noise resembling a shot.

Groups advocating awareness and acceptance of harm reduction by society have come together under one umbrella organization to promote the adoption of harm reduction strategies by the Philippine government.
Harm reduction is a public health strategy that was developed initially for adults with substance abuse problems for whom abstinence was not feasible. These include using a nicotine patch instead of smoking, consuming water while drinking alcohol, using substances in a safe environment with someone they trust, and needle exchange programs for people who inject drugs.
