Kalli Hegerle (JR/West Fargo, N.D.) and Anna Holen (JR/LaMoure, N.D.) both received West Central Region first team honors. Hegerle tied for the team lead with a .305 hitting percentage and was second on the Jimmies with 301 kills. Holen led UJ with 322 kills and was second on the team with 498 digs. Hegerle and Holen were also first-team GPAC All-Conference selections this season. Corina Huff (SR/Breezy Point, Minn.) and Jackie Meiklejohn (JR/Dickey, N.D.) were chosen as honorable mention West Central Region. Huff recorded 222 kills while hitting .277. (NewsDakota.com) – The postseason awards for the University of Jamestown women’s volleyball team continued to roll in on Tuesday afternoon as Jon Hegerle was named the NAIA Coach of the Year and Kalli Hegerle and Anna Holen earned First Team All-American Honors. Hegerle and Holen become the first Jimmies ever to earn First Team All-Americans. Hegerle was tied for the team-high in hitting percentage this season at .305 and ranked second in kills behind just Holen who was first with 322 kills. Holen also finished second on the team in digs and both Holen and Hegerle were named to the AVCA All-Region team earlier this week.

Madison Motschenbacher was chosen from this year’s applicants and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. “Thank you to everyone at Unison Bank for this wonderful opportunity,” shared Motschenbacher. “I really appreciate this gift.” Eligible applicants included Jamestown, N.D. and surrounding area high school graduating seniors who are, or whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are customers of Unison Bank and planning to attend a college, university, vocational or technical post-secondary school. Each applicant’s scholarship, letter of recommendation and transcript were graded by the Unison Bank Scholarship Committee.
