Across the country, weâre hearing reports of clusters of cases associated with daycare centers and youth sports.
This week, the state put out this chart showing hospitalizations have been on a downward slope since the beginning of the year, but recently, weâre seeing a very slight increase, and the age group is resembling the national trend.

Pierre Morton has a goal for his first 90 days as Chief Diversity Officer at Franklin Pierce University, and it’s actually very simple. He wants to listen, hear what others have to say, and create another avenue for change.
To do that, he has three questions to start: What is your definition of equity? What is your understanding of inclusion? What is your understanding of diversity? And he’ll listen to anyone’s answers – students, faculty, community members.
“Because this is not a one-person job; it’s a one-world job,” Morton said.
As a gay Black man, Morton understands firsthand how an individual can be affected by the color of their skin or who they chose to love.

Michael Daley
WORTHINGTON Michael Daley will succeed the retired Darlene Macklin as executive director of the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The organizations’ board of directors announced the appointment of Daley earlier this week. His first scheduled day in the Chamber office will be Monday.
“I am very excited and humbled by this opportunity,” Daley said Thursday. “Since moving here in April, I have been looking for the right opportunity to serve this town that we have grown to love.”
Daley owns a bachelor of science degree in management with a minor in business economics from Rutgers University. He also has a master of science in management in business from the University of New Haven.

President Joe Biden’s administration is taking action to stop the proliferation of so-called ghost guns and push states to adopt “red flag” legislation, the White House announced late Wednesday.
Biden is directing the Department of Justice to, within 30 days, issue a proposed rule aimed at curbing the spread of so-called ghost guns, or guns that are made from build-it-yourself kits.
The department will also in the next two months issue a proposed rule declaring a stabilizing brace that turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle and publish model “red flag” legislation for states.
