This past year, the COVID-19 pandemic underscored just how critical a safe, domestic supply of food is to our survival. When the global food trade halted, businesses and supermarkets experienced shortages. But Florida agriculture remained hard at work growing, harvesting, and feeding our population. As our state continues to reopen and rebuild, Florida’s farmers continue to work hard to ensure fresh, wholesome food is on the tables of families across the nation. Agriculture has been an important pillar of Florida’s economy through the economic downturn, continuing to generate economic impact and support essential jobs.
