UMPD investigating reported sexual assault

MISSOULA â The University of Montana Police Department is investigating the report of a sexual assault that occurred in the University Villages housing area on Thursday, May 20 around 10 p.m.
The suspect is described as tall, slender, mid-20s and wearing a black hoodie, black cargo pants, black tennis shoes. The suspect also wore a black ski mask and gloves.
An alert states the incident was reported to UMPD at approximately 10 a.m. on Monday.
Anyone who witnessed the reported incident or has information about the suspect is asked to UMPD at (406) 243-4000.

The assault allegedly occurred at about 10:00 p.m. and the suspect is described as a tall, slender man in his mid 20’s, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and cargo pants along with black tennis shoes.
UM Police also said the suspect was wearing a black ski mask and gloves.
The incident was reported to UM Police at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
UM authorities ask anyone who may have any information about this suspect to contact UMPD at 243-4000.

MISSOULA â A bear was seen again on Friday morning near the University of Montana campus.
The University of Montana Police Department reports that a bear seen in the 1600 block of Madeline Avenue near campus and the animal was growling and acting aggressively.
Missoula 911 received several complaints about the bear at around 3:30 a.m. Friday.

A UMPD alert notes the bear has been getting into garbage cans and officials are unable to get the bear to move on and are concerned about the way the animal is behaving.

A bear has once again been reported near the University of Montana campus.
The University of Montana Police Department reports that at approximately 6 a.m. on Thursday a bear was reportedly seen in the 1600 block of Madeline Avenue, about one block from campus.
According to UMPD, the bear was ânot reported to be aggressive.â Itâs not known where the animal went following the siting. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) were notified of the bear sighting.
