MARSHALL, Michigan Multiple people remain hospitalized after a natural gas leak caused a fiery explosion at a Marshall home earlier this month.
The incident happened at around 1:40 a.m. on Monday, April 12, at a home located on 532 Clinton Street in Marshall. Eight people were inside the house at the time of the explosion, and all were taken to local hospitals.
As of Tuesday, April 20, police say three people remain hospitalized. A 38-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman are at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor and a 2-year-old girl is hospitalized at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.

MARSHALL - Three people, including a 2-year-old girl, remain in hospitals following a gas explosion and house fire more than a week ago.
Marshall Fire Chief Martin Erskine said Tuesday two adults, a man, 38, and woman, 27, are at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. The woman s daughter, 2, remains a patient at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Two other people, a man, 38, and woman, 43, were released from Bronson Hospital last week. A man, 36, a woman, 35, and a boy, 10, were treated and released shortly after the incident.
Police Chief Josh Lankerd said Tuesday that names of the people injured are not being released pending notification of next of kin and as the investigation into the exact cause of the explosion and fire remain under investigation.

Briarwood Mall shooting victim and shooter were known to each other, police say

Detectives are still working to identify and speak with all the parties involved with the shooting that occurred around 3 p.m., Friday April 16 inside the Von Maur department store inside the mall, according to the Ann Arbor Police Department.
The suspected shooter and the victim were known to each other, but the motive for the shooting is still unclear, police said.
Multiple shots were reportedly fired during the incident which led to emergency crews being called to the mall, 100 Briarwood Circle, police said.
