DULUTH – The final stretch of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon was called no man s land, one mile of trail where regular race etiquette doesn t apply.
For about 300 miles, any time a musher wanted to pass a competitor, he or she would have to call trail, prompting the musher in the lead to pull over so the other could go by.

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) National Signing Day is here and although it looks a little different, area schools did their best to honor those student-athletes continuing to play at the next level.
At Mankato East High School, star football player Eli Olson signed his National Letter of Intent to play at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
”I’m just excited to know I get to play four or five more years. UMD is a great program, great culture, great coaches. It’s going to be a great place to go up to, keep working, get better every day and see where it takes me.”
