University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a virtual wild blueberry conference offering 17 biweekly sessions from 4â6 p.m. starting Jan. 27 and running through March 24. Additional sessions are scheduled from noonâ2 p.m. Jan. 29âMarch 19.
Conference topics include research updates on pollination, water, pest and disease management; business opportunities and technology use; and updates from the Maine Wild Blueberry Commission. UMaine Extension and University of Maine educators and researchers, and industry experts will lead the conference sessions.
The conference is free; registration is required for each session. Register and find the full schedule on the event webpage. Pesticide credits will be available.

AUGUSTA University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H is partnering with the Maine Primitive Skills School and Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine to offer a new monthly outdoor educational series for families with youth ages 7–18.
“Outdoor Family Adventures” is for those interested in learning more about Maine’s ecology, observing birds and their habitats, responsible fire building, and safely spending time in the Maine outdoors.
Programs will be held Jan. 31, Feb. 28, March 28 and April 25, from 3 – 5 p.m., at 2273 North Belfast Ave., Augusta.
