A new survey designed by University of Wyoming Extension and the Cent$ible Nutrition Program (CNP) to better understand how Wyomingites gather information is open for residents to share their experiences.
“We are a rural state, so having accurate information about how populations in rural states engage with media and social media is hard to find from national groups,” says Kali McCrackin Goodenough, CNP marketing coordinator.
The survey is completely anonymous. Consent form and contact information will be kept separate from results, which will be used to explore trends across Wyoming, McCrackin Goodenough says.
Those who complete the survey will receive a four-in-one kitchen tool as a thank-you. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and can be found here.

Itâs that time of year again. The University of Wyoming Extensionâs free five-week course on personal finances comes right as tax season begins to creep up and money habits are top of mind.
The online course, called âMoney Talk,â covers topics on financial basics, money management, investing, retirement, insurance and life events. The event will span five Tuesdays from Feb. 9 to March 9., and each session will last 50 minutes during lunchtime.
âParticipants can attend any of the classes, but theyâll get the most from attending all of them,â said Cole Ehmke, Extensionâs agricultural entrepreneurship and personal finance management specialist.
For those with a hankering to learn more about the great outdoors and garner the title of Certified Wyoming Master Naturalist, the opportunity has arrived. With the launch of Wyomingâs Master Naturalist Program, the state joins many others in hosting a program that trains participants to be environmental stewards and to teach that stewardship to others.
The Wyoming Naturalist Program is coordinated by a committee of state agencies and non-profits that includes Audubon Rockies, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Wyoming State Parks, the University of Wyoming Biodiversity Institute, and the University of Wyoming Extension. The training will include lessons in biodiversity, ecology, conservation, management, and interpretation. The 2021 program will include lessons hosted at Boysen State Park May 22-23.
