Selfless newly qualified nurse dies from Covid-19 before starting job

Source:  family A newly qualified mental health nurse who was looking forward to starting the job of his “dreams” has died from Covid-19 before being able to start in post. Oronsaye Okhomina, who worked throughout the pandemic as a student nurse and mental health support worker, died on 11 February after contracting the virus last month and being put into an induced coma at North Manchester General Hospital. “If there was one thing Oronsaye looked forward to, it was the day he will start working as a qualified nurse” Esther Okhomina He had been waiting to begin his role as a mental health nurse with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, having worked there previously as a support worker.
