PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A Ravenna Township resident was shot by a Portage County deputy after he allegedly tried to attack several deputies with a knife.
According to Portage County Sheriff Chief Deputy Ralph Spidalieri, four deputies went to Cody Osco’s home in the 5300 block of State Highway 14 early Wednesday morning.
Osco had outstanding warrants for multiple charges; including, failure to appear, intimidation of a crime victim, public indecency, criminal damaging and trespass in a habitation.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations was called to a crime scene in Ravenna Township Wednesday morning following an officer-involved incident.
According to officials, the incident happened after police deputies showed up at the home of Cody Osco, attempting to arrest him on outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear, Intimidation of a Crime Victim, Public Indecency, Criminal Damaging and Trespass in a Habitation.
Upon entrance, deputies located Osco in the basement of the home. While attempting to take him into custody, Osco allegedly pulled a knife on deputies and attempted to lunge at the officers.

RAVENNA, Ohio A 23-year-old man from Stow was arrested Tuesday morning after fleeing from Ravenna police officers attempting to stop him.
According to a news release from the Ravenna Police Department, officers observed the suspect, Tyler Fish, driving a vehicle at 8:29 a.m. Fish has active felony warrants for his arrest including Domestic Violence and Felonious Assault.
After making attempts to stop Fish, he fled from Ravenna police officers in a 2005 Teal Ford 500. Tyler traveled east on State Route 5 until he turned north onto Knapp Road and ultimately returned to the intersection of State Route 14, the news release states. He then continued east on State Route 5 again, until striking Stop Sticks, which were deployed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol at Esworthy and State Route 5.

RAVENNA, Ohio (WOIO) - A 23-year-old Stow man wanted for domestic violence and felonious assault led Ravenna police officers on a chase Tuesday.
Ravenna police said an officer saw Tyler Fish driving on Main Street around 8:30 a.m. and attempted to pull him over to arrest him on the active warrants.
Fish allegedly refused to stop and fled east on State Route 5, turning north onto Knapp Road and back to State Route 14.
When he turned onto State Route 5 again, officers said Fish’s vehicle ran over Stop Sticks set out by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.
