Two employees at an Ohio hospital have been placed on leave after a kidney was given to the wrong patient.
In a statement, University Hospitals in Cleveland apologized for the incident and confirmed that the patient who received the kidney is recovering but the transplant surgery for the patient who was supposed to get the kidney has been delayed.
A spokesperson said, UH will take the actions necessary to prevent such a mistake from ever happening again. Has a medical mix-up ever happened to you or someone you know?
