Sarah Mead from Yeo Valley Organic, which commissioned the study, said: Children love spending time outdoors and are curious about everything. They absorb so much information, especially when it comes to learning about nature and the future of our planet.
“I think it’s great that the next generation are so passionate about learning about nature and the environment. That’s why we wanted to launch our Valley Explorers videos to help children learn more about how and why they need to put nature first – and hopefully persuade some of their parents too!”
The research also polled 1,000 children aged 6-11 and found that 49 percent feel ‘clever’ when correcting their parents and a further 38 percent feel ‘happy’.

Adventure Group Limited, operating as Canyon Explorers, has decided to hibernate normal operations from Monday February 15, 2021.
Adventure Group Managing Director Stefan Crawford said it had been “a tough but necessary call” given the ongoing decline in visitors to Queenstown over the coming months and the uncertainty around a trans-Tasman bubble.
He said Canyon Explorers had been doing its best to navigate through its first domestic-only season, adjusting offers to encourage kiwis to “Do Something New”.

While the auditor-general probes the way tourism aid was handled, not all operators want the money they were offered.
The Government is under pressure to redistribute close to $16 million in aid refused by tourism operators. Some of those offered help decided they didn’t need the money after all, or couldn’t afford to take on more debt in the form of loans. Last year’s tourism rescue package gave $270m in grants and loans to key businesses via the strategic tourism assets protection programme (Stapp), which is now the subject of an inquiry by auditor-general John Ryan who is looking into the application process, including the decision to award large sums to three major businesses before formal applications opened.
