The West Virginia Supreme Court issued a new memorandum decision which broadly interprets the scope of the West Virginia Medical Professional Liability Act, applying it to non healthcare entities.

The village of Herkimer’s $10 million sewer rehabilitation project will be getting started Monday, March 15.
Contractors will be cleaning and inspecting the sewer system for the next three months, starting Monday, and will provide a weekly schedule of locations that will be impacted, according to a statement released by the village.
The workers also will be required to hand out door hangers or letters to the houses that would be affected by the next day’s work.
She recalls going swimming in the Frankfort Gorge, playing such games as dominoes, checkers and cops-and-robbers when she was growing up and going to the Capitol Theatre in Ilion, to watch movies for 10 cents. She also enjoyed the music of Guy Lombardi.

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. – Bassett Healthcare Network is changing its hospital visiting hours starting Monday, March 8.
Visiting hours will be open 3 – 7 p.m. at A.O. Fox Hospital, Bassett Medical Center, Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little Falls Hospital, and O’Connor Hospital.
Under the current policy, one visitor is allowed at a time, with a maximum of two visitors per patient each day. A screening process is required at each facility, including temperature checks and a few health questions. All visitors must also wear masks.
