PAYETTE â In an emergency situation, communication is key to saving precious seconds in saving lives. According to Payette County Sheriff Andy Creech, the countyâs emergency radio system often presents challenges to emergency respondersâ ability to act quickly when they get the call.
As he has previously reported to the Payette County Board of Commissioners, Creech has stated that grants to help the county pay for upgrades to equipment with interagency compatibility are scarce. But during its April 19 regular meeting, Creech brought the board a rare grant opportunity: The Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program.

Two Canyon County Sheriff s deputies hospitalized for suspected fentanyl exposure
The two deputies were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for their symptoms. They have since been released and are in stable condition in their homes.

CALDWELL, Idaho Two Canyon County Sheriff s Office (CCSO) deputies were hospitalized after they were exposed to suspected fentanyl while booking an inmate on Friday evening. Both deputies received treatment at the hospital and have since been released.
While the deputies were booking an inmate into the Dale Haile Detention Center, they found an unidentified substance on his person during a routine search. After confiscating the substance, both deputies began experiencing symptoms associate with fentanyl exposure.

Brad Griffin Jacobs, 41, of Caldwell, was discovered by sheriff s deputies after they arrived at the 19000 block of Wagner Road early Friday morning, according to the Sheriff s Office.
By late Friday evening, officers had detained a suspect who was being interviewed by detectives, according to a news release from the Sheriff s Office. Officials are not releasing the name of the suspect and did not offer additional details about the incident.
