AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - NewsChannel 10 will livestream graduations for Amarillo Independent School District and Canyon Independent School District.
The graduations will be featured on NewsChannel 10′s website, on Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and the NewsChannel 10 News App.
The day after the graduations air online, they will be broadcast on NewsChannel 10Too.
Below is a schedule of graduations and when you can watch them on NewsChannel 10:
Tuesday, May 25
North Heights - 5:00 p.m., will be broadcast on 10Too on Wednesday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m.
Starting Monday, masks will be optional for students and staff in the Canyon Independent School District. This comes after the Canyon ISD Board of Trustees voted 4-2 to make this decision during March s regular meeting.
According to previous reports by the Amarillo Globe-News, the Texas Education Agency gave boards the power to make the decision regarding face coverings after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the state’s mask mandate would be lifted, and businesses can operate at 100% earlier this year. At the time, board members Bill Jenkins and Matt Parker voted against the motion.
According to the Canyon ISD website, the district states that there is only one active COVID-19 case with 754 recoveries. However, the webpage reads that it has not been updated since March 15.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Applications are available starting today, to be on the ballot for the May election in Amarillo.
There are four spots open for school board positions at Amarillo College, Amarillo Independent School District and Canyon Independent School District.
All City Council seats are up for re-election and the Mayoral position.

Representatives from Randall High School’s Key Club and Xcel Energy recently came together to provide food for their neighbors in Canyon. Masked members of both organizations stood in a sort of assembly line, picking up donated food items from boxes to fill their individual Hope-Tote bags.
Through their combined efforts, as well as efforts from other volunteers throughout the day, more than 1,200 bags will be distributed Friday to children in need within the Canyon Independent School District.
The overall goal is to not just feed these students, who may not have access to food over the weekend.
It is to give them hope.
